    Our Story

Once a working farm, Borgo Castellengo is being transformed into a seventy five acre luxury estate that celebrates the region while honoring the Borgo’s heritage.

    The Estate

    Shaped by land and tradition

Dating back to the 19th century, Borgo Castellengo sits within a landscape long shaped by agriculture and viniculture, defined by its distinctive terroir, its proximity to the Tanaro River and the Ligurian Apennines, and a community deeply committed to preserving local culture and tradition.

    The Langhe

    A region of timeless beauty

A UNESCO World Heritage landscape of vine-covered hills, medieval hilltop villages, and a culinary tradition rooted in the Slow Food movement. The Langhe is home to Barolo, Barbaresco, the prized white truffle, and a way of life that celebrates simplicity and substance.

    The Founders

    Stewards of the land

Natalie and Chris Nagele first fell in love with the Langhe 13 years ago. Drawn repeatedly to its beauty, history, culinary richness, iconic wines, and welcoming people, they purchased Borgo Castellengo in 2023.

As founders of a software company built on a people-first philosophy, they now bring that same ethos to Borgo Castellengo, shaping a hyper-personal, luxury experience for every guest.

They are also deeply committed to the careful restoration of this historical property, guided by a long-term vision to help revive the magic of the surrounding area and restore the local economy.
